Click here to share memories, pictures, view memorial slideshow or to view livestream services for Bill\n\nWilliam 'Bill' Donald Sullivan, age 95, of Albia, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Senior Suites in Urbandale.\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, opening to the public at 3:00 p.m, with Bill's family present from 4-7 p.m., and a rosary will be recited by the St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia. Online condolences may be left for the family at sinnottfuneralhome.com or the Sinnott Funeral Home Facebook page. \n\nHe was born on March 14, 1927, in Weller, Iowa to William 'Bill' Sr. and Edna (Kosman) Sullivan. Bill was a graduate of Albia High School. He married Betty Rogers on August 4, 1949, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Albia. Bill and Betty were blessed with five children: Larry, Marcia, Sharon, Sandy, and Jeff. \n\nAfter high school, Bill worked at John Deere in Ottumwa then worked at Goode's Seed and Feed as the Elevator manager for over 45 years until his retirement. Bill loved working with his many customers at the Grain Elevator hauling in grain or buying feed for their livestock. He knew every farmer in Monroe County. After retirement, he drove cars for Duea Chevrolet. Then worked at Seibus transporting children to and from school and residents of Albia to their appointments. \n\nHe enjoyed playing bean bag baseball and was well known for throwing a Home Run. Bill enjoyed car rides and spending time with his family. Bill LOVED his Hawkeyes! Bill and Betty enjoyed traveling to see all their kids and grandkids, Sunday afternoon car rides, trips to Branson and spending Saturday nights at Rathbun Lake. He LOVED his best friend and furry companion Sully. \n\n He is survived by his children, Larry Sullivan of Oregon City, OR, Marcia Wasko of Louisville, KY, Sharon (Jon East) Sullivan of Pleasant Hill, IA, Sandy (Brock) Nelson of Boise, ID, Jeff (Sue) Sullivan of West Des Moines, IA; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents William 'Bill' Sr. and Edna Sullivan, and siblings Merle, Jack, and Gary Sullivan. Bill's family would like to give special thanks to Senior Suites of Urbandale and Suncrest Hospice for the wonderful care he received.
