Stanley Wilson Reinier, age 95, of Martinsburg, IA passed away on Saturday evening at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. He was born on March 23, 1923 in South English, IA to Noah and Lola (Black) Reinier.

Stanley graduated from High School in Agency, class of 1941. He was drafted into with the United States Army during World War II. He survived the Battle of the Bulge. He married Lillian Mae McAllister in 1948, and they were blessed with six children: Rex, Ronald, Carol, Bruce, Scott, and John.

Stanley was a truck driver, then worked in maintenance at the Ottumwa Regional Hospital, and later as a janitor and bus driver for Pekin schools. Stanley and and his wife also grew and sold vegetables.

He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and visiting with people.

Stanley is survived by his children, Ronald Eugene Reinier of Marshalltown, Carol (Ronald) Nordyke of Abington, Bruce Reinier of Martinsburg, Scott (Louise) Reinier of Crystal Lake, IL, John (Karen) Reinier of North Carolina; ten grandchildren: Jenny, Michael, and Angie, Tim, Rachel and Joshua, James, Ann, Scott, and Carol, seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; and three siblings, Rosemary Moyer of Cedar Rapids, Les (Jean) Reinier of Baldwin City, Kansas, and Wayne (Arljean) of Valparaiso, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Lola; wife, Lillian; son, Rex; brothers, Kenneth, Harold, Howard, and sisters, Edna Culley, Elise Vinson, and Edith Heemsberger.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Saturday April 27, 2019 at Hedrick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church. A funeral luncheon will follow services. Visitation will be held 10:30-11:00 at Hedrick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa. Memorials may be directed to the Hedrick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church or Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice. Online condolences may be left for the family at Arrangements are entrusted with Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa.
