Obituary for Naomi Louise Gould

Naomi Louise Gould, age 88, of Ottumwa, passed away Thursday morning, January 11, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa, under the care of Good Samaritan Society Hospice. She was born on April 26, 1929 in Sparrow Point County of Baltimore, Maryland to Charles Phillip and Gladys Matilda (Cloman) Diehl.She graduated from Mt. Rainer High School in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She married James “Windy” Wendell Gould on April 6, 1949, and they were blessed with one daughter, Lorrie. Naomi and James enjoyed attending plays, shows, and musical events. She also enjoyed crafting, and going bowling. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Lorrie (Charles) Klawonn of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Dustin Klawonn of Fairfield, Krystal Klawonn of Cedar Rapids, Megan (Cole) Rutledge of Ottumwa; two great grandchildren, Isaac and Penny Rutledge. She is also survived by one sister Thelma Eichman of St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys Diehl; husband, James Gould; siblings, Ester Williams, Charles Phillip Diehl Jr., Doris Finch, and Nancy Frangoulis. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at Sinnott Funeral Home, 220 North Court, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501. A private burial will follow services. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are entrusted with Sinnott Funeral Homes.
