Obituary

Marilyn Janet Kness, age 85, of Albia passed away on January 5, 2020 at the Monroe County Hospital, under the care of EveryStep Hospice. She was born on January 9, 1934 in Oskaloosa to Kinzie and Clara (Waldock) Wimer.

When the girls got older, Marilyn got her real estate license and owned and operated Marilyn Realty in Ottumwa and Albia. I will always recall meeting Marilyn as Marilee and I moved into our Simpson College dorm room and the frequent visits that followed. She was so excited to be a part of her daughter's life and on visits to Albia she always welcomed me into their home. I feel blessed to have seen Marilyn recently during a visit to see Marilee and Mike. Marilyn is now whole and healed and is the kindhearted woman remembered. With heartfelt sympathy to her family and all of the lives she touched.
Love, Terri Williams McDonnell
