Obituary

Luciano Sican-Soloman, age 57, of Ottumwa, passed away on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on December 13th, 1962 in Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa to Carmen Soloman and Guillermo Sican.

He graduated from Colegio Cotzumalguapa, class of 1988 and received his Associates in Arts & Science alongside a degree in Accounting. He married Josefina Aguilar and they were blessed with 5 children: Evelyn, Kimberly, Glenda, Luis & Jasmine.

His hobbies included: fishing, crafts, playing soccer and spending time with his friends/family.

Luciano is survived by his 5 children: Evelyn Sican, Kimberly (Alejandro) Acosta, Glenda Sican, Luis Sican(Natalie) and Jasmine Sican; 2 grand-daughters: Jimena & Mileena Sican. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carmen Soloman & Guillermo Sican, 2 brothers: Froilan & Luis Sican.

A Private Family Graveside will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, from 4-7 p.m. at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Memorials may be directed to the family. A GoFundMe page has been established https://gf.me/u/x578c4. Online condolences may be left for the family at sinnottfuneralhome.com.

I did not know your Dad but think I may know him a little through you. I don't have any great words to help but thinking about you and your family during this difficult time and feel terrible that unable to attend visitation.
